AI consulting engagements start at $30,000
For an owner or executive sponsor who wants to improve a specific workflow and needs a credible plan before committing to a larger implementation.
What you receive
- Discovery with leadership and the people doing the work.
- A prioritized opportunity shortlist and readiness assessment.
- A detailed business case for the selected opportunity, including costs, benefits, risks, and assumptions.
- A tool or vendor shortlist where appropriate.
- A phased adoption roadmap, owners, and success measures.
- An executive decision workshop and next-step recommendation.
A defined scope, agreed upfront
We agree on the workflows, stakeholders, deliverables, and timeline in the proposal. The entry engagement is an advisory and planning engagement; software, custom development, integrations, infrastructure, specialist reviews, and ongoing support are separately scoped and budgeted.
A good outcome may be a smaller pilot, a readiness project, or a decision not to invest yet. The business case determines the next step.
Discuss your first AI initiative ↗A business case your leadership can examine.
Opportunity & readiness
Map workflows, establish a baseline, assess available information and systems, and identify constraints. Rank use cases by expected value, feasibility, risk, and adoption effort.
ROI & cost projections
Model consulting, software, usage, implementation, integration, internal effort, training, support, and ongoing operating costs. Compare conservative, base, and upside scenarios with an agreed time horizon.
Strategy & governance
Define the roadmap, executive sponsorship, decision rights, human review, and escalation paths. Coordinate privacy, legal, and security requirements with your team and qualified experts.
Deliverables can include an opportunity portfolio, assumptions register, financial model, costed roadmap, governance responsibilities, and a recommendation for executive approval.
Aim high. Make the assumptions visible.
Where the evidence supports it, we seek opportunities with the potential for a 10x benefit-to-cost multiple over an explicitly agreed period. This is an aspirational screening target, not a promise, forecast, or guarantee. Many worthwhile initiatives will have a different return profile.
Illustrative economics: what 10x means
This hypothetical example is not a client result. Over 24 months from project start, assume $100,000 in total program costs: $30,000 advisory, $25,000 external implementation, $15,000 internal change and training effort, and $30,000 software, usage, and support.
Assume a three-month ramp with no benefits, followed by 21 months producing $600,000 of realized operating savings plus $400,000 of incremental contribution margin. Those benefits must be supported by baseline evidence, adoption rates, attribution, and achievable cost reductions—not simply time saved or gross sales.
$1,000,000 of benefits ÷ $100,000 of costs = a 10x benefit-to-cost multiple. Net ROI is ($1,000,000 − $100,000) ÷ $100,000 = 900%. At half the benefits, the multiple is 5x and net ROI is 400%. If costs double as well, the multiple falls to 2.5x and net ROI to 150%.
The example excludes tax and discounting. A real investment model should address benefit timing, cash flow, payback, sensitivity, and your finance team’s methodology. A $30,000 engagement does not imply this result or a $100,000 implementation budget.
From requirements to accountable delivery.
RFI/RFP & vendor evaluation
Prepare requirements and evaluation criteria; compare vendor capabilities, references, commercial terms, implementation plans, and total cost. Coordinate demonstrations and proof-of-value acceptance criteria.
Implementation program management
Jason connects the executive sponsor, business owners, IT team, developers, and specialists. Establish milestones, dependencies, risk and issue tracking, change control, and go/no-go decisions. Partners execute the technical work.
Change management & adoption
Prepare role-specific training, communications, operating procedures, and internal champions. Track adoption, quality, cost, and business outcomes against the baseline; refine the rollout as evidence develops.
Legal opinions and formal security or compliance assessments come from appropriately qualified professionals. Vendor contracts, partner costs, and the scope of each participant’s responsibility are agreed before delivery.
Clear decisions at every stage.
- Define: agree the business problem, baseline, sponsor, and decision criteria.
- Validate: assess readiness, test the business case, and approve a bounded pilot where justified.
- Coordinate delivery: oversee qualified implementation partners against agreed acceptance criteria.
- Adopt and measure: train the team, monitor results, and decide whether to expand.
